Alcohol and Drug Intensive Outpatient Treatment in Michigan

Pioneer Counseling Center’s Intensive Outpatient Program for alcohol and drug addiction treatment is a six week program that provides comprehensive treatment for individuals experiencing chronic problems with alcohol/drug dependence. The goals of the program are to provide you with information about the physical, emotional, social, and legal consequences of alcohol consumption and/or drug use and to prevent relapse. Alcoholism or drug addiction is a serious progressive illness that unless treated and stopped, can lead to mental, physical and emotional pain. The treatment components focus on a recovery program concerned with not just abstinence, but with an improved quality of life and well-being.

The Intensive Outpatient Program enables you to seek treatment for your addiction to alcohol and/or drugs while continuing to work and take care of your family. The Intensive Outpatient Program for alcohol and drug addiction treatment is available through Pioneer Counseling Center’s Outpatient Clinic in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Alcohol and/or Drug Addiction Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program:

Pioneer Counseling Center completes an initial addiction consultation and addiction assessment for all individuals who are considering the Intensive Outpatient Program for alcohol and/or drug addiction treatment. Once assessed and admitted to the Intensive Outpatient Program, you will be assigned a primary addiction therapist who will work with you through the course of your treatment in regularly scheduled individual and family sessions.

In addition to individual and family therapy, you will participate in a minimum of 9 hours of group counseling per week (3 days per week, 3 hours per day). Pioneer Counseling Center is a provider for most major health insurance companies in Southeast Michigan. Many insurance companies will cover a portion of your alcohol and/or drug addiction treatment costs.

Pioneer Counseling Center’s Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to promote alcohol and drug addiction recovery not only through behavioral change, but also through emotional, spiritual and psychological readjustment. Group addiction therapy sessions are designed to support your understanding of the progression of addiction, to promote insight into the effects of dysfunctional behavioral patterns that can prevent healthy relationships with yourself and others, and to prevent relapse by helping you identify the early warning signs of relapse and by encouraging more appropriate alternatives. The Intensive Outpatient Program supports and encourages the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step philosophy.
